PA Club at UD

With recent changes in healthcare policy and a demand for more patient-provider interaction, the PA career is projected to grow by 30% in the next decade.

Physician Assistant Club is an organization of students dedicated to preparing ourselves for the increasingly rigorous process of gaining admission into a Physician Assistant (PA) program, post-grad. However, less than one of every five qualified applicants is accepted and matriculated each year into a PA program. PA Club aims to improve the odds of our members by helping to develop an informed st

rategy while at UD. PA Club will introduce members to regional professionals in the healthcare arena, help to coordinate volunteer experience, connect students to campus resources, and contribute in any way it can to help members achieve their long-term goal of becoming a PA-C.

Happy PA Week everyone! To celebrate, we will be having a very informative meeting this Thursday (10/12). There will be a panel of current PA students from Arcadia University coming to talk about their experience, and we will also be having some PAs from Christiana Hospital. Be sure to come prepared with lots of questions!

Fun fact: The first National PA Day was celebrated on October 6th 1987 when Duke University celebrated the 20th anniversary of their first graduating PA class!

Make sure to come out to our FIRST MEETING of the semester this Thursday 9/21 at 6:30pm in Memorial 111. There will be very useful advice and info from our club advisor and a former admissions officer from Tufts University. You won't want to miss it!

Hello everyone! We will be having our first meeting of the semester TOMORROW 2/27 at 7pm in Gore 104. We will be discussing PA schools in the area, how to obtain patient care hours, and prerequisite classes. It will be a really informative meeting, so make sure to stop by!
