During the second night of the South Carolina Synod Assembly, Newberry College presented retiring Bishop Rev. Virginia "Ginny" Aebischer with an honorary degree in appreciation for her service and leadership. Rev. Aebischer's six-year term concludes on Aug. 31.

We're proud to celebrate three Newberry College graduates who recently led their programs to South Carolina state championships:

🥎 Hannah Towery '21 – Head Coach, Saluda High School Softball
Led the Tigers to their first-ever SCHSL 2A State Championship, completing a remarkable postseason run and bringing home a historic title for Saluda. https://www.wjbf.com/sports/saluda-softball-crowned-2a-state-champions/

⚾ Peyton Spangler '19 – Head Coach, Clinton High School Baseball

⚾ Dell Lever '14 – Head Coach, Chapin High School Baseball
