BLACK HISTORY MONTH IS HERE.

At Newberry College, we kick off Black History Month remembering that Black history doesn’t start or end in February.

✊🏿Black history is everyday.
✊🏿Black history is American history.
✊🏿Black history is world history.

This year is extra special as we celebrate 100 years of Black History Month celebrations, founded by the Father of Black History, Dr. Carter G. Woodson. Who challenged the world to recognize, study, and honor the contributions of Black people year-round.

Join us all month long as we celebrate culture, excellence, creativity, resilience, and legacy. This is our history. This is our moment.
