Today, we honor Juneteenth, a day of liberation and hope. As we commemorate the end of slavery in the United States, may we learn from our history and work for a future that is harmonious, just and merciful together.

Newport's hidden history is everywhere you look and these Salve students have got a clue 👀 🔍 ✨

In the Compass Summer program "Walking Through History," our students traced the steps of philosopher George Berkeley, explored historic landmarks and created interactive scavenger hunts for future visitors. Led by Dr. Jeroen van den Hurk and Dr. Craig Condella, the program brought together students from a variety of majors and backgrounds, creating a collaborative environment where history, philosophy and creativity intersected.
