An IATSE 15 worker, Fernando Rocha, was recently detained by ICE. Fernando is an asylum seeker and a valued member of the theater community in the Puget Sound region. As his Union, IATSE Local 15 stands in solidarity with Fernando and has organized a fundraiser to help support Fernando and his family in this stressful time. Craig Walsh's Monuments at Artpark (7 of 9) | Artpark Stage Crew: Jack Wrobel

Artpark Stage Crew put on the show. They are the ones behind the scenes building and setting the stage for all of Artpark’s incredible performing talent. Jack began working at Artpark when he was 19 years old. For 50 years, Jack’s commitment to Artpark and its Mission has been a driving factor for Artpark’s success. Before his recent retirement, Jack was the Head of Stage Crew at Artpark but also worked as the technical director for Niagara University Theatre, where he has been involved in local and national theater productions since 1975.

Jack is also the president of the International Association of Theatrical Stage Employees Local 121 of Niagara Falls. Jack's expertise, easygoing manner, and dedication are treasured by the Artpark family and beyond.

Artpark's Monuments will be on display nightly from 9-11PM until August 18. The installation is free and open to public to view for a final time on August 18 18. Monuments will also be on display during the Amphitheater concerts on August 16 & 17 (ticket required for admission).
