We’re reminded today that home isn’t just a place—it’s what we build in the middle of uncertainty.

Even when things feel unsettled, we can still choose peace in our words, patience in our responses, and grace in how we show up for others.

Hope doesn’t ask for perfect conditions. It asks for steady hearts.

And home begins there.

The other day, my son casually informed me that this summer he plans on doing both club swim and soccer. 😅

And in that moment, I realized how quickly summer was already starting to fill up.

Practices. Schedules. Carpools. Late dinners. Trying to balance fun, growth, family time, and rest.

As parents, sometimes the pace picks up before we emotionally catch up to it.

And while sports and activities can be wonderful for kids — building confidence, friendships, discipline, and resilience — it can also quietly create stress for the entire family when life starts moving too fast.

What I’ve noticed as both a parent and someone who works with families is this:

Kids don’t just need opportunities.
They also need margin.

So do parents.

As summer begins, I’m reminding myself:
🤍 Not every moment has to be optimized
🤍 Rest is productive too
🤍 Connection matters more than a packed calendar
🤍 Home should still feel peaceful in the middle of busy seasons

Sometimes the healthiest thing we can do is pause long enough to ask:
“Is our family still breathing well in this season?”

Summer doesn’t need to be perfect to be meaningful.

LMFT + Registered Play Therapist (RPT) – In-Person (W2)
LifeStream Counseling | Noblesville, Indiana

Please Read Before Applying
This is an in-person, private-pay role working primarily with children and families. We are looking for a clinician who is ready to invest in building a meaningful caseload and doing high-quality, relational work over time.

This is not a fit for those seeking remote-only work, minimal schedules, or a high-volume, insurance-based setting.

About LifeStream Counseling
LifeStream Counseling is a boutique practice focused on depth, not volume. We work with children, adolescents (ages 3–18), and families seeking lasting change through intentional, relationship-centered care.

The Role
We are hiring a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT or LMFT-A) who is also a Registered Play Therapist (RPT) (or actively pursuing).

This is a fully in-person position with an emphasis on:
- Play therapy
- Family systems work
- Long-term, relational care

Non-Negotiables
- You are committed to in-person clinical work
- You are willing and able to build toward a full caseload in a private-pay model
- You have a strong work ethic—you follow through, show up consistently, and take ownership of your work
- You value family involvement, not just individual child sessions
- You are aligned with a practice that prioritizes clinical depth over high volume

Strong Fit If You
- Are an LMFT (or LMFT-A) with solid family systems training
- View play therapy as central to your work with children
- Are self-motivated and proactive, not dependent on constant direction
- Want to grow within a boutique, high-quality practice
- Are committed to ongoing learning and clinical excellence

Faith Integration
LifeStream Counseling is rooted in Christian values. You do not need to provide overtly faith-based counseling, but you should be comfortable working in a setting where faith may be integrated thoughtfully and appropriately, based on client preference.

What We Provide
- W2 employment
- Consistent referral flow with support in building a full caseload
- A thoughtfully designed, calm environment for working with children and families
- A practice culture that values excellence, presence, and professionalism

Who This Is Not For
- Clinicians seeking remote or hybrid-only roles
- Those looking for a low-commitment or part-time-only caseload
- Clinicians who prefer minimal parent involvement
- Those who are not aligned with private-pay work

To Apply
Submit your resume and a brief statement outlining:
1. Your experience with play therapy
2. Your approach to family work
3. Why this type of practice is a fit for you

Behavior is often the last thing we should focus on—
even though it’s the first thing we see.

Especially in seasons of transition like right now.

Before reacting, pause and ask:
What might my child be feeling underneath this?

That question builds connection—and connection is what actually changes behavior.

There’s Friday…
There’s Sunday…

But no one prepares you for Saturday

The in-between
The waiting
The silence

When you thought things would turn out differently

When God feels quiet

But Easter was never just about the miracle

It’s about the promise…

That God is still working
Even when you can’t see it

What feels buried
is not beyond His reach

If you’re in a Saturday season—

Sunday is still coming
