I was saddened to learn of the death of Jaqueline Derner Tchakalian on September 10, 2025. Jaqueline was a published writer, poet, activist and visual artist. We showed her work at Norco College, with Myron Kaufman, and she was a regular at my L.A. studio workshop and Gallery Tours. She was published with Red Hen Press and had many speaking engagements and readings, including at the Annenberg Beach House. She had a zest for life and her passion was appreciated by many.
