“The time is always right to do what is right”-MLK, Jr.

On April 4, 1968, the world lost a powerful voice for justice and humanity. Today we honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., a man who dared to dream of a more just, compassionate, and connected world.

His unwavering commitment to nonviolence, empathy, and the power of collective action reminds us that true change begins in community. As we remember his life and sacrifice, let us reflect on how we show up for one another, how we build bridges across difference, and how we continue the unfinished work of justice.

We honor Dr. King not only in remembrance, but in action!

As we continue our celebration of , we honor the unwavering spirit and contributions of African Americans who have transformed the landscape of labor and economic justice in the United States.

From the establishment of early Black labor unions to present-day advocacy for workplace equity, this journey is marked by resilience, courage, and vision.

🔹 1865: The Emancipation Proclamation opens possibilities for paid labor.
🔹 1925: A. Philip Randolph founds the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters, paving the way for Black labor movements.
🔹 1963: Bayard Rustin leads the March on Washington, amplifying the call for racial and economic justice.
🔹 1970s: Dorothy Bolden champions labor rights for Black domestic workers.
🔹 Present Day: The fight continues for fair wages, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace.

This timeline is a testament to the impact of Black labor movements on social justice and workers’ rights. Let us remember, reflect, and continue to build on this powerful legacy.

Today, on International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we honor the memory of the countless victims of N**i persecution, and others targeted by hate.

This day reminds us of the importance of confronting all forms of hatred and prejudice wherever they arise. As a campus community, we recommit to fostering understanding, equity, and inclusion, ensuring that such atrocities are never repeated.

Let us reflect, remember, and learn. Together we can build a world rooted in justice and human dignity.
