She worked the night shift, came home, slept for a few hours, and then opened her laptop. Nita Shahi did that for years.
Nita immigrated from Nepal at 18, became a registered nurse, and put herself through graduate school one overnight shift at a time, becoming the first in her family to earn an advanced degree along the way. This spring she finished her MSN-FNP through ODUGlobal. She is already enrolled in the doctoral program. Nita wants to spend her career serving patients who face the same barriers she once did — language, culture and a healthcare system that can feel impossible to navigate alone. https://online.odu.edu/news/nepal-norfolk-nita-shahis-journey-advanced-practice-nursing
