Our second SAIcon post this week features the lovely Jill Monroe!
🌹🌹
Jill is a senior journalism major who is also taking a minor in women’s, gender, and s*x studies. Their main instruments are trumpet and voice - on which they sing mezzo-soprano. A fun fact about Jill is they have played every generation of Pokémon games! 🎮 Another cool thing about Jill is they are a member of BRMM, WZND, and TV-10. 🎥
🌹🌹
Jill joined SAI to stay involved in music and make more friends with common interests. Their favorite thing about SAI is the sense of closeness with every member, no matter how different we can be! They also have a birthday coming up on April 17th 🎉🎉
🌹🌹
We’re so grateful to have you in our chapter, Jill! Thank you for being amazing!

This week we will be posting 2 lovely SAIcons! First up is Katie Allen, a senior clarinet player who is majoring in music education and minoring in Spanish! Something you might not know about Katie is she used to play roller derby! Her favorite candy is snickers and outside of SAI she is also the secretary and publicity chair of ILCMEA. Her favorite thing about SAI is that she loves the members and how valued and loved her siblings make her feel 🥰. She joined SAI to pursue a closer connection to the inspiring people in this fraternity. She loved seeing the connection and closeness the SAIs had, and wanted to be a part of that. We are so happy Katie became a part of our SAI family, and so grateful for the leadership and kindness she brings to our chapter! ❤️🌹

It’s a beautiful morning for an SAIcon! Today, we’re highlighting our recent re-affiliate, Lauren!

Lauren is a senior music therapy major who initiated into Sigma Alpha chapter spring of 2019, then Lambda Mu spring of 2022. Along with SAI, they are also a member of On The Brink Of Normal A Ca****la. Lauren really loves the community, friendship, philanthropy, and music that surrounds SAI and Lambda Mu! Shameless plug, you can find their INCREDIBLE original music under the name Lillian Bloom on Spotify or most other streaming services, and we highly recommend you give them a listen!

It’s been a joy having you with us in Lambda Mu, Lauren, we love you! ❤️🌹

Allie is a senior communication sciences and disorders major, with a cognitive science, linguistics focus minor. They initiated into our chapter fall 2021. Along with SAI, you can find Allie participating in Student Government, Geography Club, and College Democrats. Fun fact, Allie, alongside their high school choir, sang backup for Kenny Rogers!

You’re an amazing addition to our chapter Allie, we love you! ❤️🌹

This semester we have four siblings who are student teaching! Student teaching is the last step before graduating for education majors. We are all so proud of them for putting in such hard work to get their degree. All four of you are going to be such wonderful educators and SAI will always be here supporting you! Love and Roses 🌹❤️
