Drs. Sue Sprecher and Wib Leonard were recently paid a special visit by our alum Stephen Gross, BS ‘99 SOC! Stephen is now working as a Civilian Contractor serving in the capacity of a Sr. Healthcare Manager/IT Project Manager. Stephen is an exceptional example of the important work that our alums are doing as well as a testament to the lasting impact of our faculty!

Congratulations to Dr. Gina Hunter on her retirement! We celebrated and honored her 26 years of impactful contributions to our department, ISU, and the community yesterday with friends and colleagues. Gina will be deeply missed but her work will continue to impact us and our community. We wish her the best in this exciting next chapter of her life!

Yesterday we celebrated 8 years of deeply impactful leadership by our department chair Dr. Joan Brehm as she prepares to return to a faculty role in July. We are so honored and grateful for Joan’s fierce and unwavering dedication and passion for our department, even amidst the significant challenges that we recently face in higher education.
Joan’s commitment to higher education is felt deeply and widely among our faculty, staff, students, and greater community. We’re so thankful for Joan’s tireless work to advance our impact as scholars, mentors, and community servants and we are so excited for her to enter the next chapter of her career!
