✨We asked, “Why are you glad you went through recruitment?”
I am so glad that I chose to go through recruitment because of all the love I have found in Gamma Phi Beta. Each year, this sorority becomes even more special to me, and finding my home during recruitment was one of my best decisions. I have met so many amazing, wonderful, beautiful women both during recruitment and in my Rho Gamma group or just waiting with other PNMs to go inside for a round, and after Bid Day in my sorority. The Panhellenic community has done so much for me, and I can’t thank my past self enough for choosing to try out sorority life. 🩷
✨We asked, “Share any Recruitment Advice.”
My advice to PNMs about to going through recruitment is the same advice I would give my past self. 1) TRUST THE PROCESS. You will hear this sentence a lot (!!) during recruitment, but it is truly the best thing you can do for yourself and your state of mind during this possibly overwhelming week. It’s hard to come in with a completely unbiased viewpoint, but try to put those to the side and give your all in every opportunity you can, letting your true self shine through. It will be all the more worth it when you find your home at the end of the week and run home with girls who truly understand you and your values. 2) MAKE THE MOST OF IT!! This week can be very overwhelming, but enjoy every minute. Look at every person going through this process with you as a possible friend, and every experience as a possible lesson. As a senior, even though I was tired and my feet were sore from my heels, I would give anything to go back and do it all over!🩷
