This past weekend the ΔΟ chapter of Alpha Sigma Phi hosted our second annual Ultimate Beach Volleyball Tournament!

Extremely proud and pleased with our chapters recruitment efforts this year.
For the second year in a row we remain a top 3 Alpha Sig chapter in terms of growth, as well as a top 5 chapter in terms of size.

The Delta Omicron Chapter of Alpha Sigma Phi is proud to celebrate 10 years on campus here at Illinois State!
After a re-charter in 2013, our chapter has grown larger than ever!
Thank you to all alumni and all supporters of our chapter who have helped us along the way!

Representing our second Alumni Spotlight will be Alex Porento. During his undergraduate time at Illinois State University, Alex served as the Recruitment and Athletics chair. He is looking forward to the Alumni weekend to get back with his brothers and see them compete in the annual March Madness dance competition! I was also able to ask him a few questions:

Why did you choose Alpha Sig?

“When I started the rush process I did not feel that I fit into the first few houses. Then I heard about Alpha Sig so I decided to check them out. After talking to the first few guys I met there, Beau being one of them, I truly felt the quality of the brothers there. Each guy seemed very genuine and I felt that I fit in. I knew I was in the right place.”

How has Alpha Sig helped you?

“During my time at Alpha Sig, it really matured me into the man I am today. I learned a lot from my brothers at Alpha Sig and they have been nothing but great friends…. Friends for life. It brought me many connections along with building skills and experiences from the positions that I held.”
