Student Access and Accommodation Services at Illinois State University We support students through accommodations. This page will no longer be used/updated.

Please follow our Instagram (isusaas) for info regarding events and happenings with SAAS at ISU. Illinois State University provides a welcoming atmosphere for individuals with disabilities by assisting each in functioning independently within the University community and providing equal access and opportunity in accomplishing educational, professional and personal goals. As a unit of the Student A

ffairs Division, Student Access and Accommodation Services is the designated office to provide approved accommodation services for students and guests with disabilities. Student Access and Accommodation Services obtains and maintains documentation of disability, certifies eligibility for services, determines reasonable accommodations, and develops plans for providing such accommodations. This is accomplished in a confidential manner to ensure equal opportunity for participation in all courses, programs, and activities offered by Illinois State.

What a cool opportunity to learn more about studying effectively! Consider coming to STV 126 from 3-4pm tomorrow to hear from Dr. Wagman, and meet The Neurodivergent Student Society at Illinois State University!

The Neurodivergent Student Society is a community community where students who are neurodiverse can find a sense of solidarity with others who understand what they go through daily. This organization will also serve as a safe space for students to explore and embrace their neurodivergence. Meetings are hosted on Fridays from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. in Stevenson (STV) 126.

Dr. Jeffrey Wagman, PhD, will be the guest speaker this Friday, February 9, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. in STV 126. His talk is entitled,

"Studying Effectively: With or Without a Neurodivergent Brain."

Dr. Wagman holds a PhD in Experimental Psychology from the University of Connecticut; he has been awarded the Illinois State University Outstanding University Researcher award, Psychology Department Outstanding College Researcher, and was nominee for the Janice Witherspoon Neuleib Award for Outstanding Achievement of the Year by a Tenured Faculty Member.
