May is Mental Health Awareness Month, a cause that holds deep meaning for our chapter. While this month brings important conversations to the forefront, mental health matters every single day. We are proud to foster a community rooted in compassion, meaningful friendships, and unwavering support for one another.
Kappa’s philanthropy is centered around supporting mental health and overall well-being, which is why we are honored to support organizations such as Active Minds and the Jamie Boone Foundation. Their missions to raise awareness, protect emotional health, provide education, and prevent su***de continue to make a lasting impact on individuals and communities everywhere.
Throughout the month of May, Kappa encourages everyone to be kind to their mind, check in on a friend, prioritize self-care, and remember: you are loved, you are valued, and you are never alone.
If you or someone you know is struggling, support is always available:
• Call or text 988 for the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline
• Text “HOME” to 741741 to connect with the Crisis Text Line
• Contact The Trevor Project at 1-866-488-7386 or text “START” to 678678 for LGBTQ+ youth support
• Reach out to a trusted friend, counselor, teacher, advisor, or mental health professional
Seeking help is a sign of strength, and no one should have to face difficult moments alone. Together, we can continue creating a community where mental health is prioritized, conversations are encouraged, and support is always within reach.
