EAF doctoral alum & Illinois State University Trustee Dr. Bob Navarro drops some history and how to participate in the centennial celebration. The 3-time started his career path at Redbird-Housing and he's now in charge of overseeing attractions and programs for the first 100 miles as CEO of Heritage Corridor Destinations. This also includes Michigan Canal towns and the Starved Rock area. He celebrated 20 years with the company this year!

Fun fact from Dr. Navarro - it doesn't matter whether you prefer the "root" 66 or "rowt" 66 pronunciation - they're both correct!

Dr. Bob Navarro ’91, M.S. ’93, Ph.D. ’02, serves as CEO of Heritage Corridor Destinations, where he oversees attractions and programs along Illinois and Michigan Canal towns, the Starved Rock area, and the first 100 miles of Route 66.

We're so of the newly minted Ph.D. completer Dr. Kevin Goffard!

The finished his work in the Leadership, Equity, & Inquiry (LEI) program in May. Dr. Lydia Kyei-Blankson served as the chair for his dissertation:

"Masculinity as a Condition for Belonging: How LGBTQIA+ Students Negotiate Hegemonic Masculinity, and the Influence on Identity Development, Self-Expression, and Perceptions of Campus Climate in Higher Education."
