Just a reminder that tomorrow (4/8) is the in which your choice to give means giving more!

There are some special times to give! If you live far from Norman, Okalahoma now, your gift of just $10 (or more- your choice!) could turn into a gift of $500, $1,000, or $1,500 dollars if you are one of the top three farthest people to donate to OU Math between 1 and 2a.m or between 8 and 9 p.m central time!

Or, if you give during 3-4a.m, 6-8a.m, 11a.m-12p.m, or 9-10p.m, your gift could be the one randomly chosen to become a $500, $1,000, or $1,500 dollar gift!

The David and Judi Proctor Department of Mathematics present!

Diving into Math with Emmy Noether, a play by Portraittheater Vienna with Anita Zieher as Emmy Noether

Emmy Noether (1882-1935) was a German mathematician of Jewish descent, one of the most influential mathematicians of 20th century. The play delves into her struggles against gender barriers in academia and her forced exile from Germany during the N**i regime. It premiered on June 4, 2019, at Freie Universität Berlin, and since then has been performed to much acclaim in many European countries. In 2022 it was performed at nine academic institutions in the US, followed by a tour in 2023. The third US tour of Portraittheater Vienna kicks off with the performances in Norman on March 27.

Math background is not expected to enjoy the play, so make your plans to enjoy the show!
