Job Description:
Position is responsible for helping to drive the implementation of the next generation of transaction services at the University of Oklahoma. They are accountable for the installation, configuration and maintenance of the university’s Blackboard Transact Microsoft Windows systems and related infrastructure for purposes of access control, privilege verification, and point-of-sale activities. Additionally, they will help to determine, through research and experimentation, the strategic direction of the card system and related technologies for the purposes of providing a more positive experience for university students, faculty, staff and other stakeholders.
Duties will include, but will not be limited to:
Designing and implementing plans for new services and system expansion
Installing and configuring hardware systems, software upgrades, peripherals, services, settings, networking cables, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements
Server and database support
Fixes software and hardware issues
Developing and maintaining installation and configuration procedures
Maintaining system standards
Researching and implementing systems administration solutions that take advantage of automation and make operations more efficient
Identifying customer needs for equipment in new and pre-existing installations
Performing daily system monitoring for availability and the completion of scheduled tasks such as backups
Performing system security monitoring
Troubleshooting and resolving adverse behavior of system devices
Creating, changing, and deleting user accounts per request
Performing preventative and proactive maintenance and performance tuning on card system and related infrastructure
Managing the hardware and software systems lifecycle
Providing Tier III support per request from various constituencies, investigating and troubleshooting issues
Providing service to walk-up card office customers, as necessary. Provides the customer with resolution choices.
Coordinating with OU Information Technology and 3rd party support for the installation and upgrading of the card system and related infrastructure, as necessary
May travel to the customer or server location for hardware and network malfunctions. Discusses directly to the customer the nature of the technical issue.
Provides minor technical or operational training.
Identifies the nature of the hardware, software, or networking issue.
Performing administrator on-call duties, as necessary
Performing various other duties as needed to successfully fulfill the functions of the position

Job Requirements:
Required Education: Bachelor's degree, AND:
48 months experience as an IT or Desktop Support Technician or related experience.
Equivalency for Education/Experience: Will accept 48 months related experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree, for a total of 96 months of experience.

Job Description:
The Dodge Family College of Arts and Sciences is seeking a Senior Coordinator to join the Dean’s Office Research Administration and Finance Team. This position provides administrative and financial support for grants and contracts college-wide which will consist of monitoring progress and activity to assisting with the understanding and analysis of financial reports. This person will collaborate closely with Principal Investigators (PI), Departmental Staff, Central Offices, and other personnel to address questions, resolve issues, and provide consultation and training in the area of research administration and finance.

The job functions include:
Preparing and sending monthly reports to P*s and departmental staff to include financial commitments and projections for grant and contract projects college-wide
Monitoring and assisting P*s and department staff with grant and contract questions, concerns, and issues
Ensuring units are following the policy and procedures of the university as well as the grant and contract terms and conditions
Identifying, researching, and resolving grant activity that might be viewed as a compliance issue, a procedural error, etc.

What you will do:
Represent the University during all phases of design, programming, and construction of both major and minor capital improvements projects.
Manage capital projects, including various meetings with a variety of constituencies, including users, consultants, contractors, University administration and other departments; and translating project requirements into architectural/engineering design program.
Support capital projects by acting as the department expert on matters within your engineering discipline.
Prepare progress reports and communicates project status to university entities and with external parties (vendors, contractors, consultants, etc.).
Develop and monitors project budgets; and reviews and approves project expenditures.
Administer consultant and construction contracts; administers construction project procedures and conducts formal bid openings.
Evaluate drawings, specifications, and other documentation to ensure that projects comply with university standards and requirements.
Perform on-site capital project construction administration, including participating in regular progress meetings and special meetings, and monitoring contractor work for conformance with construction contract requirements. Applies related professional skills and knowledge during construction.
Perform in-office construction administration, advising contractors, project architects, or engineers, and University officials regarding project quality and schedule. Coordinates with other University departments and other project personnel; reviewing contractor submittals. Responds to requests for information and other inquiries.
Participate in providing input and updating the related engineering discipline specific requirements in the OU Standards.
Coordinate work with local, state, and federal agencies involved in the University’s construction program.
Secures and maintains required discipline license including any continued education criterion.

Job Description:
The production manager serves as a key member of the staff/faculty guiding more than 150 students in the production of OU Nightly, Game Day U and Sooner Sports Pad. The live newscast is broadcast on Cox Cable, Cheyenne and Arapaho Television and live streamed across several digital platforms each afternoon during the fall and spring semesters. Sports Programming is broadcast on Cox Cable, digital platforms and ESPN+.

Job Duties Include:
Operate and Maintain Broadcast equipment
Undergo training required to operate and/or assign out tasks associated with Master Control such as automated commercial breaks, scheduling of programs on Nversion software, as well as training needed to explore and/operate new technologies equipment.
Work with engineer(s)to perform preventative maintenance, maintain equipment inventory and make recommendations when replacements are needed.
Provide logistical arrangements and cost estimates for equipment needs and coordinate with department engineer items.
Train and Supervise students involved in broadcasts in a collegial atmosphere.
Coordinate schedules and training program for all students involved in production crew positions. Supervise student employees serving on the production crew, including Master Control, Live Shot Crew and studio.
Educate and train students on existing and new equipment used in the production of OU Nightly and Sports Programming
Regularly update and maintain training manuals and checklists for students in production crew positions.
Provide support and supervise production related activities connected to special programming including live and pre-recorded broadcasts.

Department Communication
Attend regular meetings with other staff and student leaders to address issues and generate new ideas for broadcasts.
Test new equipment to determine feasibility of use in broadcasts.
Recommend new studio equipment used by broadcast students to Tech Committee for student checkout.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Schedule may be adjusted to allow for evenings and weekends surrounding sports programming.

Job Requirements:
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in Radio and TV, Mass Communications, or related field AND:
24 months of experience in audio/visual systems or a closely related field.
Equivalency/Substitution:

Skills:

Postdoctoral Researcher/Lab Technician

Jay Kim Lab at OUHSC is seeking highly motivated and skilled post-doctoral researchers and laboratory technicians with expertise in cancer cell biology, metabolism, and lncRNAs to join our team in the study of the molecular mechanisms underlying lncRNA-mediated glucose and redox metabolism in cancer.

The postdoctoral fellow is expected to work independently, design, plan, execute and analyze experiments, oversee collaborations, supervise students, manage animal models, and carry out research activities of assigned projects. The postdoctoral fellow will utilize standard cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, and genomic approaches. The fellow will also present data and findings at team and scientific meetings and seminars, prepare manuscripts, and provide support for grant proposals.

The laboratory technicians will perform molecular biology, genetic engineering and cell biology techniques, including mammalian tissue culture, genetic manipulations of cultured cells, microscopy to characterize cell function. Experience in mouse colony management and basic in vivo experiments is desirable.
