The Global Shakespeare Festival continues with a showing of Akira Kurosawa’s Throne of Blood, based on Shakespeare’s Macbeth. It will be held at 6:30pm on Thursday Oct 20, with a short discussion afterwards with Man Fung Yip (Film & Media Studies), Alissa Mortimer (Helmerich School of Drama), and Su Fang Ng (English). All are welcome.

“Throne of Blood ... remains a landmark of visual strength, permeated by a particularly Japanese sensibility, and is possibly the finest Shakespearean adaptation ever committed to the screen” (Derek Malcolm).

Did you feel the quake?! We hope everyone is okay!

The quake struck at a depth of 6 kilometers (3.7 miles) and was felt in five states, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
