OU History Department

OU History Department We offer BA, MA, and PhD degrees. We are located in Dale Hall Tower, room 403A. Knowing the past enhances our capacity to imagine the future.

The study of History has always claimed a place at the center of a liberal arts education, and for good reason. By understanding the experiences of women and men who lived in the near and distant past, students gain a far sharper perspective on their own place in the world. History also sharpens our research and writing skills and hones our ability to think both critically and imaginatively. Our f

aculty offers courses covering all parts of the globe, from the ancient to the modern periods. At every level, we aim to cultivate an exciting and challenging intellectual community.
