Wonderful concert tonight for the OU Hornsemble. Some really difficult selections. Madaline Lee's arrangement of the Barber Adagio PLUS Matthias Pflaum's stellar arrangement of the Andante Sostenuto movement of Tchaikowsky's 5th Symphony were very difficult works. I commend you for your work. I would have preferred to be there in person, but hopefully next time. Congratulations to the entire ensemble and to Dr. Reynolds!

On the road again! Presentations at Missouri State University, University of Kansas, and Kansas State University. Giving a Vienna Horn lecture, having students spend some time on the instrument and gave a recital and worked with a horn ensemble at KSU. It was fun to get back in the swing of things.

Nothing like staying in on a cold cold day and listening to a rebroadcast of the 2024 New Year's Concert by the Vienna Philharmonic / Wiener Philharmoniker. Such joy in playing is evidenced on the faces of the musicians.

Superb playing by all, especially Ronnie Janezic, Principal Hornist. Such a warm sounding brass section.

I saw Killer’s of the Flower Moon’ today. Very well done with good pacing. It didn’t seem like a 3.5 hour movie. Find me acting all around and thought the details setting this in 1920’s Oklahoma was very authentic. I highly recommend this picture of true history.

Throwback Thursday! We were given this stunning 12 part arrangement of music from Phantom of the Opera. It is a real handful. The synthesizer part was challenging to program but it really added to the total sound.

This stunning arrangement of music from Phantom of the Opera is a truly symphonic masterpiece. Written for 16 part horn choir with tuba and rhythm section. ...
