We've been experimenting with the large-format It's mostly used by our colleagues in the sciences for printing conference posters. We've co-opted it to print artworks on a much larger scale.

We're asking the question--what would one's artwork look like when printed larger than life? How does one's artwork seem when printed really large? It tests so many boundaries. From the capability of one's computer to one's comfort zone. Making can be intimidating. Plus it's easy to get accustomed to seeing the world through a screen.

Pictured here are students in the class Branding the Box and more! with a cardboard figure that supported one of the student's overall concept.

Here's to the end of the semester!

Hello! My name is Ana Sheehy, and I’m a studio art major who will be in this years senior exhibition, Stigmas and Stories: Changing the Narrative.

My project is about working in different art mediums, making a bunch of unicorns! I am interested in thinking about the biases we have about materials, and how we might value some art and “more” than others based on how its made, or what it is made of.

Check out today’s story while I spend the day prepping some of my artworks for installation!

Last week, and and students from came to North Adams, MA to collaborate with faculty and students at MCLA (). One of the projects we did was to participate in Riverworks 2021 where we responded to the site and history of a tributary of the Hoosic River. Students turned out some great work, and we made a website so visitors could experience the work while visiting the site (link in bio). ⁣⁣QR code signs will be up at Linear Park in Williamstown through October 15th. We invite you to take a walk along the trail to view this art.

Our last artist is Alex! As an lgbt+ illustration and conceptual artist they strive to tell stories and create worlds and characters readers can lose, and find themselves in. They also have a fascination with the human figure and use it to tell complex narratives of the self.
