Introducing Nora! She is the president for the CO2025 and says that she is “super pumped and grateful for this opportunity to be the President for the Respiratory Care class of 2025!” Nora was born and raised in the Charleston area. She loves a good book and doing absolutely anything outside. Nora shares that learned about Respiratory Therapy as a career through her best friend’s parents because they are Respiratory therapists. Of course they encouraged her to look into the program and with that Nora said that the more she learned about an RT career, the more drawn she became to the profession. She explains that the most challenging thing about the program so far has been “learning to be gracious with herself because you’re not gonna pass every test with flying colors or get every skill on the first try.” [[ ]] Nora’s hope for the program is that it grows! She says that it is such an amazing and rewarding program and enjoys that teachers are hands-on and pour so much of themselves into this program which will help ensure every single student’s success.

Meet the Vice President for the CO2025, RJ.
RJ joined the Respiratory Therapist program at TTC because he wanted to pursue a career in heath care and the RT program stood out to him. His interest grew further after researching the field of Respiratory Therapy, and his excitement grew for his future RT career. Outside of class RJ is a husband and father, he says that it is always an adventure at his home. Apart from his family life, RJ likes to fish, watch baseball, and read. When asked about his hopes for the Respiratory Program at TTC, RJ expressed that he hopes to grow awareness for Respiratory Therapy as a career and he believes that this cabinet and his class have the ability to shine a light on this program and get people excited. RJ says the most challenging thing about beginning RT school has been balancing the work load of his classes along with the expectations of everyday life, parenting 7 children, one of which is a newborn baby boy. Something that RJ highlights as a “fun” part of this program is working hard to master the lab portion of a class and the knowledge and skill “clicking” together. At this point in the program, RJ says the coolest thing he has learned has been about arterial blood gasses and how you can create a diagnosis by interoperating them.
