Calling All Crafters, Alumni, and Friends. We're looking for volunteers to help create "feelie hearts" for veterinary students participating in The Healer's Art course at Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine this fall.

These small, pocket-sized hearts are given to students following a session on grief, loss, and healing, serving as a reminder of compassion, connection, and humanity throughout their careers. We're looking for help creating approximately 30 unique feelie hearts for this year's participants by September 28th.

Hearts can be:
🧵 Sewn
🧶 Knitted
🪡 Crocheted
🎨 Felted
❤️ Any handmade, soft, pocket-sized creation

Cummings School's Veterinary Learning Center, slated to open next summer, will become the new focal point of campus life. The new building will provide more classroom and community spaces to accommodate the increased class sizes.

“The Veterinary Learning Center is, in many ways, Strategic Vision 2030 made physical. Our vision commits us to advancing the health and well-being of animals and people through collaboration and engagement, and to helping students develop not just knowledge but the skills and connections they need to make a difference. The VLC gives that commitment a home.”
Dr. Melissa Mazan, V93, dean ad interim
