She founded impactful ensembles, led major musical initiatives, and later brought hope and rehabilitation through prison choir programs.
Her life’s work touched countless communities, blending music, mentorship, and compassion.

"Your support makes a direct and lasting impact.”

For Maddie ’27, that impact means less financial stress and more focus on becoming the best educator she can be.

And that impact doesn’t stop with her. It extends to every classroom and community she’ll serve in the future. Give today at https://gift.bethelks.edu/cornerstone-day-2026

Isaiah didn’t come to Bethel planning to study social work. That changed during a conversation with Dr. Jennifer Chappell Deckert that started with carrying t-shirts down the hall and turned into something much bigger. In that moment, he saw how social work aligned with his passion for social justice and knew he had found his path.

Since then, their experience in the Social Work program has taken them beyond the classroom. Through their practicum with Loud Light and United Way of Harvey and Marion Counties, and opportunities like the Campaign School of Social Work at the University of Connecticut, Isaiah is already putting that passion into action.

Experiences like these are made possible through donor support. When you give on Cornerstone Day, you are investing in the next generation of Threshers and the communities they will serve. Give today at https://gift.bethelks.edu/cornerstone-day-2026

“These scholarships can open doors.”

Maria ’26 is a first-generation college student who once wasn’t sure if college would even be possible. Because of donor support, she’s now pursuing her dream of becoming a nurse.

Instead of worrying about how to pay for college, she’s been able to focus on learning, growing, and building her future.

Your support makes stories like Maria’s possible. https://gift.bethelks.edu/cornerstone-day-2026
