The Imaging Center staff also gave out 3D printed Smith Bears with VR goggles to the 6 Imaging center student worker seniors! You will be missed !!

More Discoveries from Our Arthur Kingsley Porter Project: This photograph depicts the Romanesque sarcophagus lid, commissioned for Alfonso Pedro Ansùrez in 1093. Architectural historian Arthur Kingsley Porter acquired it and brought it back for display at Harvard University’s Fogg Museum. Some theorized that Kingsley Porter unwittingly released a supernatural curse, as the day the slab was returned to its rightful place was the same day Kingsley Porter disappeared, July 8, 1933.

For the past year, Imaging Center staff and student interns have been working to organize nearly 10,000 prints and proofs from the collection of art historian Arthur Kingsley Porter and his wife, Lucy Wallace Porter, who served as the photographer of the duo. The images largely document medieval art and architecture, captured during the Porter’s travels around Europe.
