Freshman Cadets gathered on 10FEB2022 for the Abare Academic Excellence dinner at Plumley Armory. The dinner arose from a promise Jack Abare made to rooks at his fall picnics in the past, "Get a 3.0 GPA in your first semester at Norwich University and I’ll invite you to dinner." - Jack Abare '57

The cadets also had the pleasure of having The Singing Trooper (Daniel M. Clark) and his wife Mary Colarusso for some entertainment last night. In some cases, you might have seen The Singing Trooper on television opening numerous games and seasons while performing the National Anthem for the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox.

A Norwich Connection: University President Mark Anarumo will be rooting for Bengals and his cousin Lou Anarumo, the team’s defensive coordinator, to win SuperBowl LVI. 09NOV21, Norwich University Veterans Day Observance: The Corps of Cadets conducted a review in honor of all veterans, past and present. The ceremony includes cannon fire for the Roll of Wars, a wreath laying, firing of three rifle volleys, and the playing of Echo Taps. We’re thrilled to welcome Brigadier General Kimberly Baumann '86 to campus as the reviewing officer and guest speaker.

Today is a day to show gratitude, and to show that we have not forgotten those who have given so much for our personal freedoms. Thank you to all veterans and their families for the sacrifices they have made for this nation.
