The programs each focus on a liberal arts theme where students work one-on-one with Carleton faculty and current students in the classroom and research lab.

The Summer Liberal Arts Institute (SLAI) is an immersive summer learning experience for rising high school juniors and seniors to explore liberal arts through rigorous and experiential curriculum. The Carleton Summer Liberal Arts Institute hosts pre-college programs each summer to give high-achieving high school students the opportunity to live and learn on a small, liberal arts campus. Outside of

their coursework students are able to take part in activities and programming such as ultimate frisbee, campfires, board games, etc.

We are hosting our LAST SLAI Together event of the year next Tuesday, and it’s a special one! Come by our office (212 2nd street E, right across from the new townhouses) for a root beer float, a game of co****le and a chat with friends old and new.

Whether you are a past SLAI student, employee, or just want to soak up some sun, we hope to see you next Tuesday at 5 PM!
