🎓📯Senior Feature 2026!!🎓📯 Today we feature our final horn studio senior, Aidan Fitzpatrick. Aidan is an instrumental music education major from Duluth, Minnesota. He participated in just about as much music as anyone could possibly participate in during his experience at St. Olaf, including the St. Olaf Band, St. Olaf Orchestra, Norseman Band, Philharmonia, Horn Club, Viking Chorus, Chapel Choir, Jazz 1, Jazz 2, a student-made barbershop quartet known as the Bonafide Four, and a student-made band known as Undergrad. While he may have been incredibly busy, he loved every minute of it and is incredibly grateful for all the meaningful friendships that he made through these ensembles. Some of Aidan’s favorite moments are being able to tour several unique places on tour with the Band and the Orchestra, and experience very goofy rehearsals with his friends in the horn section. He feels lucky to have led the Horn Club in his final year, in which he had to simultaneously balance being an organizer for the club with being able to finish his student teaching experience. Aidan plans on teaching ensemble music in the Minnesota schools, and might potentially pursue a graduate degree in conducting. We’re so proud of you Aidan, Congratulations and Fram Fram!! 🎓

🎓📯Senior Feature 2026!!🎓📯 Today we feature Cooper Oleyar! Cooper is a political science and biology major from Rosemount, MN. He’s played in Norseman band all four years and Horn Club the past two years. He’s really enjoyed his time in the horn studio. Being able to meet fellow horn players and perform with them has been a great privilege. He was also fortunate to make many wonderful memories during his time at St. Olaf, including talking to alumni in D.C., meeting Lt. governor Peggy Flanagan, and banding northern saw-whet owls for research! He made many wonderful friends during his time on the hill, and was very lucky to have crossed paths with them. After graduating, Cooper plans to work in either state government or in field ecology. We’re so proud of you Cooper! Congratulations and Fram Fram!! 🙌🎓 🎓 🎓

🎓📯Senior Feature 2026 time!🎓📯

We’ve got two seniors to feature and celebrate today!

Maureen Bowen is a Physics and Spanish major with a concentration in Engineering Studies from Abu Dhabi, UAE. She has played in St. Olaf Band, Norseman Band, and horn club. She is grateful for all of the lovely musical opportunities she has had on the Hill and is immensley grateful for the horns! She will miss pulling pranks in rehearsal, weekly hupper (horn-supper), and all of the unexpected gatherings (horn clot). She couldn't have asked for a better section to spend her last year with! After graduation, she will be working in Lakeville as a project engineer with a couple horn studio alumn!

Roisin Walsh is a music, psychology, and gender and sexuality studies major with concentrations in family studies and neuroscience from Tinley Park, Illinois. She has been part of the St. Olaf Band since her sophomore year, and has also played in Norseman, Philharmonia, and St. Olaf Orchestra during her time at St. Olaf. She is honored to call the french horn section her own, and will miss them dearly. In addition to music, Roisin participated in many sports during her four years, including rugby, broomball, soccer, and volleyball. She also enjoyed catching toads and hanging out with friends in her free time. After graduation, Roisin plans to work in the emergency field as a 911 dispatcher or an officer, and eventually develop rehabilitative programs for the US prison system.

Congratulations Maureen and Róisín!! We’re so proud of you! Fram Fram!
