The goal of the International Student Organization is to create a space for people from all different backgrounds to share their story, for their voices to be heard. Yet, the voices of black people have been silenced as they speak out against racial injustice. We stand with you and support you. As allies, we must do more than simply post and say that we are with you. As allies, we must actively work against racism, whether it be in our daily-lives correct our prejudices, educating others, protesting, signing petitions, or donating. We encourage everyone who stands with the black community to actively work as an ally right now. We have a link down below to a page that has complied different organizations that support Black Lives Matter. If you have the financial means, we encourage you to donate and spread the word!

With closures of universities across the country many international students are at risk of having no place to live, of going home to dangerous situations, or going home and not being able to return due to travel bans. Furthermore, many international students do not have adequate health insurance or adequate income to pay for basic necessities or medical care if they were to get sick. If you have the means to welcome another person in your house or offer support in any way, please do what you can to help those who aren’t privileged enough.
