๐ Alumni Spotlight: Richie Quintero (Class of 2022) ๐๏ธ
Even with much of his CSUN experience happening virtually during the pandemic, Richie made it a priority to get the full college experience, building meaningful connections with peers and professors that became a huge part of his journey. ๐ซ
Those relationships paid off, helping him land job interviews and advance his career. Richie also took lessons from every course โ storytelling, writing, interviewing, producing โ and applies them today in his role as a producer at KFI AM 640/iHeartRadio.
His proudest moment? Being part of TWO award-winning projects at the RTNA Southern California 75th Golden Mike Awardsยฎ: ๐
๐ฅ "S*x, Drugs, and Social Media" โ Best Radio Long Form Program or Documentary
๐ฅ "Studio 640" โ Best Radio News Talk Show or Public Affairs Program
He's also covered meaningful events like Outloud Music Festival during WeHo Pride and entertainment coverage at Coachella! ๐ค
His advice for upcoming grads? ๐ฌ
"Give everything your best, absorb as much as you can, and never be afraid to ask questions or ask for help. Make connections, build relationships with your professors and peers, step outside of your comfort zone, and take advantage of every opportunity that comes your way. Most importantly, never give up on your dreams."
Congrats, Richie โ your passion for storytelling shines through! ๐
