This spring, students in Design Studio: Introduction to Professional Practice, taught by Professor of the Practice of Design Tania Schlatter, took on a unique challenge: reimagine the graphic design lab in Mars Arts and Humanities. Working with faculty as real-world clients, they conducted research, gathered feedback and developed innovative solutions to transform the space into a more collaborative and flexible environment.

It's a perfect example of the Wheaton experience—students apply their knowledge to authentic projects, build professional skills and make a lasting impact on the campus community.

New opportunities for Wheaton College students to explore sustainability through storytelling.

Professor Lisa Lebduska has been awarded a grant from the Marion and Jasper Whiting Foundation to develop an interdisciplinary course that will engage students in researching and documenting stories of environmental sustainability and community resilience.

By blending the liberal arts with experiential learning, the course will equip students with the research, writing and communication skills to explore complex environmental challenges and amplify the voices of those creating positive change.

The initiative reflects Wheaton's commitment to connecting academic inquiry with real-world impact, empowering students to become thoughtful storytellers, engaged citizens and leaders in their communities.

Happy Pride Month! 🌈💜

In honor of Pride, we're sharing moments from this year's Lavender Celebration, an annual tradition recognizing the achievements of LGBTQ+ students and celebrating the community that supports them.

At Wheaton, we're proud to foster a campus where every student can find belonging, build meaningful connections and experience the joy of being their authentic self.

For 80 years, the Wheatones have been proving that the best part of a college experience isn't just what you learn—it's the communities you build.

This spring, current students and alumni spanning nearly four decades returned to Wheaton College to celebrate the 80th anniversary of their beloved a ca****la group. Together, they shared stories, performed and honored a tradition that has connected generations through music and friendship.

From lifelong bonds to lasting memories, the Wheatones embody the power of a liberal arts education to foster creativity, collaboration and belonging long after graduation.

After decades of teaching computer science, Professor Mark LeBlanc is still finding new ways to challenge, support and inspire his students.

In our latest faculty spotlight, Professor LeBlanc shares the story behind Wheaton College's Computer Museum, his approach to helping students navigate academic challenges and why it's important to take time away from screens.

From preserving the history of computing to preparing students for a future shaped by artificial intelligence, he shows how a liberal arts education encourages curiosity, critical thinking and innovation.
