CT State Norwalk, formerly known as Norwalk Community College, located in Norwalk, CT, awards associate degrees and certificates in more than 90 areas of studies, and also offers short-term career and personal development programs. The first community college established in Connecticut, Norwalk Community College is the educational center of greater Fairfield County, providing opportunities for intellectual inquiry, open dialogue, multicultural awareness and lifelong learning.

Last week, our campus participated in our first-ever Pantry Palooza where 7 teams of faculty and staff members headed to our local ShopRite and given 8 shopping clues (plus an optional Golden Clue) to solve and collect essential items for our campus pantry. Our teams even competed for awards like Coupon Conqueror and Speed Shopper.

Together, the teams spent approximately $1,400 to support our food pantry with items like peanut butter, cooking oil, rice, canned goods, and so much more.

Thank you to the Food Pantry and our STRIVE Committee for hosting an amazing event and getting our faculty and staff involved in some friendly competition!

Our 4th Annual Veteran and Military Stole and Cord Ceremony was held on the morning of graduation to honor our veteran, active-duty military, and military-dependent students. This annual ceremony recognizes the dedication and sacrifices our students have made in service to our country while also pursuing their educational goals.

A massive thank you to CT State Senate Majority Leader, Bob Duff; Mayor of Norwalk, Barbara Smyth; and former Mayor of Norwalk, Harry Rilling for joining us and sharing remarks during our ceremony as well as their continued support of our campus and our students.
