Our last of the semester highlights Destiny Adenekan ‘28!

Destiny is a Political Science and Economics major, minoring in Peace Studies and Constitutional Studies. She is from Chicago, IL and Lyons Hall! This semester, she has been gaining invaluable experience working on the Hill as an intern for the Office of Congresswoman Frederica Wilson. Destiny has loved the fast-paced environment of the Capitol and spending her weekends exploring D.C.’s world-class museums.

This class, offered through the Global Affairs courses, studied USAID and how our country has developed with its dismantling. With this, they have gotten to visit super interesting places, like the State Department and the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

Grace is spending her spring semester interning for Senator Jeff Merkley in the United States Senate. She has been gaining firsthand experience in the District to see what a future career in government might be like.
