A message from Dr. Doris Van Auken to our Saints alumni community asking for your support to help Holy Cross reach it's fundraising goal to purchase food for 40 local families this Thanksgiving in partnership with Martin's Heritage Square and St. Vincent de Paul.

Just over 20 years ago, students at Holy Cross began a tradition of providing Thanksgiving Food Baskets to those less fortunate than ourselves. Over time this has become one of the highlights of our year. In the past, I have been honored to work with the Social Concerns Committee to bring about this effort. Truly, doing this work has been one of the blessings in my life and my time at Holy Cross College.

This year we are providing food baskets to 40 families. Each basket will cost roughly $100.00. Which means that we really need you! Search your heart and make a donation to our effort. We need to raise $4,000.00. I know this sounds like a lot of money to raise, but I know we can do it. The Holy Cross family of which you are a part has never failed to reach our goal.

Congratulations to our alumni who have been invited by Indiana Governor-elect Mike Braun to serve as members of his transition councils.

Current member of the Holy Cross College Board of Trustees Thomas J. Lyons III (BA '14) will serve on the Business Affairs Transition Council to support the Governor-elects focus on "strengthening Indiana’s reputation as a business-friendly environment by streamlining bureaucracy, cutting red tape and enhancing customer service interactions between business owners and state regulators."

Additionally, Christopher Creighton (AA '08) will serve on the Constituent Services Transition Council to help Governor-elect Braun with "improving interactions between Hoosiers and their state government by conducting a review of constituent services across state agencies."

We are grateful for the example of public service being set by these alumni whose statewide influence will be informed by their time at Holy Cross College gaining the "competence to see and the courage to act".

Holy Cross College is proud to announce Leading the Holy Cross Way: An Executive Series with President Marco J. Clark, Ed.D. This fourth lecture in the series will take place on October 11, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. in Driscoll Auditorium and will feature Kyle Ballarta, founder and CEO of Falkon Ventures, a venture capital fund focused on catalyzing technologies that systemically address our biggest global challenges. The lecture is open to the public.
