During his recent visit to Beijing, Dr. Michael Pippenger visited our long-term partner Peking University. This Summer, Peking University will host the inaugural UND-PKU Beijing Summer Philosophy program where Professor Don Howard will teach the philosophy of physics to a mixed class of Notre Dame students and PKU students. The Beijing Summer Philosophy Program is a collaboration between Notre Dame and Peking University’s Philosophy Department, supported by Notre Dame Beijing.

Learning to correctly pronounce names from around the world honors a student’s or colleague’s identity as well as their culture. In support of this, an online workshop designed to guide faculty, staff, and students on the proper pronunciation of Hindi names will take place Thursday, Nov. 16.
