Twenty-five years ago, first responders answered the call without hesitation. This Friday we honor them. Join MATC Protective Services for our 9/11 Commemoration Event as we remember the lives taken on September 11, 2001. The program includes the presentation of colors and national anthem, a memorial dedication led by MATC President Dr. Anthony Cruz, and a moment of silence with a musical tribute, "Amazing Grace," performed by John Bragle. For our EMS students, it is a reminder of the tradition of service you are stepping into. Friday, September 11, 1 p.m., at the MATC Oak Creek Campus Cafeteria Patio, 6665 S. Howell Avenue. Last week, MATC Protective Services was proud to be part of CampHERO 2026. We partnered with the Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Southeast, the Milwaukee Fire Department and the Milwaukee Police Department to give young women a hands-on look at careers in public safety. Watching the next generation get fired up about this work is exactly why partnerships like this matter. Thank you to MPD and MFD for showing up and making it real for these campers.
