Merritt College's Permaculture Design program, is one of the few community college permaculture programs in the U.S.. Classes are held at Merritt College's Landscape Horticulture Department. The Permaculture Garden is located inside the Landscape Horticulture Department grounds. The garden is designed using sustainable practices and permaculture ethics. Each semester, staff and students care for a

nd maintain the garden. Students receive half of their instruction in the garden, gaining hands on experience while applying permaculture principles. Interested in the Permaculture Design program? Merritt College Landscape Horticulture Department is having a spring plant fair! Come join us on Saturday, May 2 between 9a.m.-5p.m. There will be vendors, music, food, and lots of plants! Merritt College Horticulture Spring Plant Fair

Merritt College Landscape Horticulture Department is having a spring plant fair!
It will be held at our recently renovated site. We now have larger classrooms, state of the art greenhouses, and newly landscaped grounds. Spend the day walking around the department and gardens, listening to music, eating delicious food, and shopping for plants!
