Big opportunities are getting even bigger at the Goddard School of Business & Economics at Weber State University 🌍✈️

While attending the TransAtlantic Business School Alliance (TABSA) conference hosted by Hofstra University, we were excited to strengthen our partnership with University of Hertfordshire to create an incredible new dual-degree opportunity for business students.

Through this partnership, students can spend two years studying in Ogden and two years studying just outside London, earning degrees from both universities while gaining international experience, global connections, and a broader perspective on business and leadership.

We’re proud to continue creating opportunity-driven experiences that help our students think bigger, go farther, and prepare for success in a global economy.

We’re incredibly grateful for the members of our Advisory Council who took time out of their busy schedules to meet with us this week. Your insight, experience, and commitment to the future of the Goddard School continue to shape the opportunities we create for our students and help guide us forward.

A few of our Goddard School of Business & Economics faculty attended the Teaching Transformation Design Lab last week, an event hosted by Weber State University’s Center for Excellence in Teaching & Learning. 📚✨

The event gave faculty the opportunity to collaborate with peers, explore fresh ideas, and discover new ways to strengthen the student experience in the classroom. We’re grateful for faculty who are always looking for ways to grow, improve, and better serve our students. 💜

Future supply chain pros in action ✈️📦

We loved hosting 8th graders from Wallace Stegner Academy on April 21! Our professors put them to the test with a fast-paced version of our Paper Airplane Game—a hands-on activity straight from our SCM 2050 classes.

Students jumped into concepts like lean, process flow, and job design… all while racing to build better, faster systems (and a few pretty impressive airplanes 👀).

And of course—what’s learning without a little fun? A few lucky students took home some Weber State swag through our session drawings 🎉

Sky King, Associate Professor of Marketing, and a student favorite, was named Career Champion for the Goddard School for 2025-26. The Career Champion program acknowledges faculty and staff at Weber State University who have significantly contributed to student career and professional development. These individuals are nominated by their students and awarded based on their career mentoring abilities. A couple of quotes from Sky's students:
