Ogden is reviewing and updating city codes. All codes and standards for development in Ogden are being compiled into a single document, Ogden City’s Unified Development Code.
Join the public open house to review the single-household zone standards in Ogden. Wednesday, April 24
Ogden Union Station
5:30–7 p.m.
From the Ogden City bulletin:
“Summary: Ogden City is updating all its development codes. The project is called Zone Ogden. The overall goal of Zone Ogden is to create a single document that includes all codes and standards that are required to develop in Ogden. The final document will become Ogden City’s Unified Development Code.
The consultant team, Logan Simpson, recently worked with city staff and the project steering committee to draft single-household zone standards as part of Module 2 of the Development Code. Module 2 includes Zone Districts and Landscaping.
A public open house is scheduled on April 24, 2024, @ Union Station from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. to review the single-household zone standards.
This is your opportunity to provide significant input on the direction of the development code’s single-household (R-1 zone) standards. Some of the topics that will be discussed will be building setbacks, height limits, minimum lot sizes, and land uses allowed in singlehousehold neighborhoods. Here is a sneak peak of some of the questions that will be asked:
• Should Ogden promote more ownership housing?
• Should we change lot and setback standards to accommodate new homes on infill sites?
• Should we adopt design standards so new homes fit into established neighborhoods?
• How do you want to hear about developments around you?
We look forward to seeing you on April 24 and receiving your valuable input! Please sign up for the project mailing list to be notified of upcoming events by going to the project website.”
