As graduation is almost here, we have bittersweet news to share. Three members of our Criminal Justice Association (CJA) leadership team are graduating. Congratulations to Madelyn Mahnesmith, Brianna Sanchez, and Lauren Kolczaski, and thank you all for your hard work!

We are happy to announce that Kalie Andersen will be joining Maria Stelling in the fall to lead our CJA club. We already have 24 new students enrolled for the fall, and we look forward to welcoming them and including them in our club.

Congratulations to all of the students who were recognized at tonight’s Academic Awards Ceremony! It was a great night. We had a handful of students who could not attend, but it was wonderful spending time with those who were able to join us. Thank you for coming, Clare, Aieden, and Ty! Today, the CJA had the opportunity to visit the Illinois State Police Academy in Springfield, and it was an outstanding experience for our students. Throughout the day, we were able to see firsthand what academy life is really like. We witnessed a dorm inspection, participated in physical training/PFIT, toured the academy, and learned more about training and equipment, including the MILO simulator. It was a valuable experience that gave our students a realistic look at what to expect.

We would like to thank Sergeant Nettles, Sergeant Lillard, and Trooper Ampier for their time, support, and willingness to share their knowledge with our students. We also appreciate the Illinois State Police Academy for hosting our group and providing such a meaningful and informative day.
