Hey team, exciting announcement! We are planning to participate in the 2024 Redbud Classic together as a chapter which will represent both a wellness and charity event for us. As a fun bonus... remember that awesome combined watch party we did with the Ohio State Alumni Club of Oklahoma? Well, we're teaming up with them again to show up to this event in Big10 Unity once again.

Some details about the event:

What is it? - The Redbud Classic is a 2-day event featuring all sorts of great events such as 10 and 30 Mile Bike Tours, 50-mile Fondo, 1-mile Kid’s Fun Run, 1-mile Woof Walk, 10K Run, 5K Run, 2-mile Walk & Baby Stroller Derby, and more... all with benefits going to this year's beneficiary Focus on Home (whose mission is to provide furniture and furnishings for dignified homes and families in need.)

Our plan is to participate in the 5k run/walk, 10k run, or the 2-mile walk and stroller derby.

When is it? - Although the Redbud Classic takes place on April 6 and April 7, the events we plan to attend are taking place on Sunday, April 7, 2024. Runners must line up at 1:30 PM, and races will begin at 2:00 PM.

Where is it? - Nichols Hill Plaza (6421 Avondale Dr Ste 204, Nichols Hills, OK 73116)

What's the price? - $40.00 Race fee + $3.90 Sign-up cost: The fee is considered a Donation. (Please Note: Price increases $5 after 29 Feb 24).

The annual Redbud Classic is an Oklahoma City tradition. Featuring 5k & 10K runs, 10/33/50-mile bike tours, 5k wheelchair race, and fun events for kids.

What's up, team! A few announcements, read below:

1) We jsut sent an email out with a bunch of info, including details for next weekend's big matchup vs Ohio State (Oct 21) - we will be hosting a combined watch party at Chicken N Pickle. We have reserved 2 indoor pickleball courts, so plan to join us at 10am to play. Kickoff is at 11am.

2) There is a group planning to gather at Woodward Pizza tomorrow (Oct 14) to watch the UMass homecoming game. 2:30pm kickoff!

3) We're leaving the t-shirt order/interest form open for another week. Be sure to visit the pinned link to fill out if you want one!

4) We'll be raffling off a really cool prize over the remainder of the season. Be on the lookout for more info about that.
