Home keeping tip for June — and this one is urgent if you haven't done it yet:
Get your AC serviced before it fails in July.
Oklahoma summers are not gentle on HVAC systems. A unit that was fine in May can struggle in July — and emergency HVAC service calls in peak summer are expensive, delayed, and entirely avoidable with a spring tune-up.
What a service includes: refrigerant check, coil cleaning, filter replacement, thermostat calibration, and a full system inspection. The cost of a tune-up is a fraction of an emergency repair — and dramatically less than replacing a unit that failed under preventable stress.
For sellers: buyers' inspectors check HVAC performance thoroughly. A serviced, documented system is a negotiating asset. An unserviced unit is a liability.
