Witter Teaching and Research Center is part of the University of Maine, and is home to three different registered species of animals. Graduate and Undergraduate students from UMaine take part in caring for and working with our Holstein cattle, Berkshire Pigs and Standardbred horses. Students take pride in their work, and are involved at Witter Farm through classes, labs, internships, clubs, cooper

atives, research projects, volunteerism and other avenues. Students are involved with daily animal husbandry in addition to their class requirements. Witter Farm is open to the public, and we are more than happy to talk to you about what we love most-our farm!
