Congratulations to Adam Wilk, PhD, of the Surgical Outcomes and Quality Improvement Center (SOQIC) and Regenstrief Institute, Inc., and co-collaborators on receiving a four-year National Institutes of Health (NIH) R01 grant for “Medicare Advantage and Patient Care Along the Pathway to Kidney Transplantation.” The team's research will examine differences in kidney transplant access between individuals enrolled in traditional Medicare and Medicare Advantage, helping identify barriers to transplantation and opportunities to improve educational and health system supports for patients.🔬🏥

Congratulations to Tarik Yuce, MD, MS, on receiving a K23 award from the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK)! Yuce’s project, “Optimizing the Delivery of Obesity Treatment Through Facilitated Assessment and Selection Strategies,” will explore ways to improve how patients are assessed for and connected with obesity treatment. This five-year career development award will support his continued growth as a surgeon-scientist and advance research focused on improving the delivery of patient-centered care.
