For Dominick Bartles, JD ’26, Creighton School of Law provided opportunities that shaped both his professional path and personal growth. Through externships with the U.S. District Court for the District of Nebraska and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, Dominick gained firsthand experience in federal practice while developing the writing and advocacy skills that will guide him throughout his career.

From leading the Creighton Law Review Symposium to building lasting mentorships with faculty and judges, Dominick embraced every opportunity to grow as a future attorney.

This summer Dominick will join Dvorak Law Group, LLC, as an associate attorney in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group following the Nebraska bar exam. ⚖️

For Zach Joyce, JD ‘26, Creighton provided the experiences, mentorship and confidence to pursue a future in public service.

Through externships with the Pottawattamie County Attorney’s Office, Zach gained hands-on courtroom experience and learned what it means to advocate for others with integrity. Alongside faculty mentorship and a strong community of support, those opportunities helped shape both his professional path and personal growth.

As he and his wife, Mary Joyce, celebrate graduating from Creighton School of Law together, Zach now looks ahead to the Nebraska bar exam and a career dedicated to making a difference.

Congratulations to John Minnick, a from the Creighton University School of Law.

Originally from Lincoln, Nebraska, John is preparing for the Nebraska bar exam this July as he begins his next chapter after Creighton. He says his experiences at the School of Law helped shape him into a stronger legal writer and thinker.


One of John’s most meaningful memories at Creighton came after experiencing a serious health emergency during class in fall 2025. After returning for the spring semester, he says he was deeply moved by the support and encouragement he received from classmates, faculty and staff.

“Going to Creighton Law was the right decision,” he says. 🎓⚖️
