BOLD Fellows wrapped up their five-week U.S. experience with an unforgettable study tour in New York City and Washington, D.C.—exploring the cultural, historical, and political heart of the United States.

This capstone experience brought Fellows face-to-face with global diplomacy, civic leadership, and the everyday pulse of two of America’s most influential cities. It’s a powerful finale to a program built on leadership, service, and international collaboration.

In NYC, Fellows:
• Walked the streets of Manhattan with Dr. Lana Obradovic and Julie Jimenez
• Took in skyline views from the Empire State Building
• Navigated the subway like true New Yorkers
• Experienced the energy of Times Square and beyond

In D.C., they:
• Toured the U.S. Capitol and Supreme Court
• Visited the Library of Congress
• Reflected during a moving “D.C. After Dark” monuments tour
• Shared final presentations and a farewell meal with U.S. State Department representatives

The study tour reflects UNO’s mission to transform lives through inclusive learning and global engagement. By linking classroom concepts with real-world exposure, BOLD deepens Fellows’ commitment to leadership in their communities back home .

While fellows have returned home, the journey isn’t over. Fellows are inspired, equipped, and ready to put their action plans in motion. The ripple effect starts now.
