Did anyone else grow up around black powder shoots or flintlock competitions? Bobby and Larry shared stories from their years competing in Nebraska, where everything from the rifles to the tents had to stay completely period accurate. For them, it wasn’t just about the competition, it was the friendships, traditions, and memories that came with it.

June is Alzheimer's & Brain Awareness Month, and it's a time that holds special meaning for our Heritage Communities family. 💜 So many of our residents, team members, and families have been touched by this disease - and we stand with all of them.

This month, we're wearing purple, we're listening, and we're committed to making every day feel like living better for the people in our care.

At Heritage Communities, first impressions don't just happen once — they happen every single day. Yesterday, our home office team showed up with shovels and gloves at The Heritage at Legacy, for our Dirty Jobs program. The team went to work planting flowers, building out raised garden beds, and putting some real love into the place our residents call home. A few residents even jumped in alongside us, which made it that much better! 🌸

Our mission of Living Better isn't just something we talk about — it's something we show up for. Because our residents deserve to be proud of where they live.

Thanks to the home office crew who got in the weeds (quite literally!) yesterday, and to the Legacy team for setting up another great Dirty Jobs day!

We love projects that accomplish more than one thing at the same time. This lovely stained glass window project brought out the residents at The Heritage at Shalimar Gardens creativity and spirit AND beautified the space!
