Intensive English at UNO

Intensive English at UNO IEP provides a comprehensive, student-centered English as a second language program where students learn to communicate successfully.

Learn English and prepare for your degree program in a small metropolitan center in the heart of the United States. UNO has offered English as a second language to international students for nearly 35 years. Students are in class 21 hours every week. Sessions last eight weeks and are scheduled six times throughout the year. New Intensive English (ILUNO) students collaborate with program instructor

s to evaluate their English ability and select language classes at one of five levels – beginning to advanced. Experienced instructors teach reading and vocabulary, grammar and writing, listening, pronunciation, TOEFL preparation, and critical-thinking skills. Instructors are available daily to meet with students to discuss their class work, language skills, and future academic plans.
