On April 12th we had the privilege of celebrating the accomplishments of some truly remarkable individuals at the 2025 Alpha Alpha Alpha and Tau Sigma induction ceremonies. This special event celebrated students, faculty, and staff who are key members of the SUNY Oneonta community because of their hard work and dedication.
We were proud to induct new members into two prestigious honor societies:
~Alpha Alpha Alpha (Tri-Alpha): This honor society recognizes the outstanding achievements of first-generation college students, celebrating their perseverance and commitment to higher education.
~Tau Sigma: This honor society celebrates the academic success of transfer students. Transitioning to a new college environment is a challenge, and these members have not only faced that challenge, but they have thrived.
During the ceremony, students, faculty, and staff were recognized for their impressive GPAs as well as the unique journeys that brought them to SUNY Oneonta. The event served as a powerful reminder of the diversity and strength within the community, and the ways in which we continue to enrich our environment of inclusion and academic excellence.
